Osaka 1 - CineStill 800T
Dotonbori during the night and day and hotel window during the day and dusk. Same locations, different light. Dotonbori's vibrant night and day scenes, capturing its charm. Rode Don Quijote's Wheel
First Osaka roll started at night right at Dotonbori 道頓堀, a place with busy streets and a canal in the middle, tons of restaurants, some of them photographed and shown below.
The night vibe of that place is something incredible, with super friendly people selling their food and helping customers!
The next day, I took some shots from the hotel window, and we took the subway back to Dotonbori, because we wanted to see how the same scene looked like during the day!

My son asked to go on Rueda fortuna don Quijote, which is a ferris wheel but not the way we know it, it’s more vertical, not an actual wheel. I could take some nice shots from the above!
Glico Sign Dotonbori グリコサイン is a common sign many tourists take photos (my wife included), but I saw a distopic scene, which caught way more my attention - a lady sitting underneath the victory sign. Unfortunately, there’s no victory for her :(
We came back to the hotel, I took the same photo from the hotel room (just to capture under a different light condition), took some more shots on the subway, supermarket, taxi, and on the street.
Tokyo needs no introduction, its photos are awesome just because. It’s a perfect place for photography, and my plan of consistently using the CineStill 800T for night shots was working!
loving the first few images, well played
