Tokyo 8 - CineStill 800T
April 12nd, 2025. Last Tokyo roll: pancakes, subways, arcades, a purple car, a Cadillac tail fin, and TOWER RECORDS! Day ends a 6 PM. Tired. Shinkansen to Kyoto next. GPS tagging analog coming soon.
This is the last film roll of the first city I visited in Japan (Tokyo). According to my trip plan, I return to Tokyo at the end of the trip, having Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Sapporo in between.
The last film roll was changed at Benitsuru Pancake (紅鶴), so that’s where we resume from!
After that, we got the subway, where I made these two shots. Subways and CineStill 800T are a great pair!
Our next destination was a store called Tower Records, but during our way there, we saw an arcade place called Game Taito Station, and stopped by for taking some photos, as I knew this kind of places would go well on the 800T…
In our way to Tower Records, I saw some guys hanging around with their cars. This purple one caught my attention a lot because if you look closer, the call has a decal that has some crazy white shades, which paired pretty much well with the intersection. At first, I thought it was a reflection, but it was not…

And then this Cadilac Tail Fin. As I was going to a record shop, I thought this were one of these gifts from God, that decide adding photographic elements in your path in relation to the place you’re going to. I remember getting stoked when I shot these, know how’s the feeling of capturing a great moment, and not being able to look at them until development? Butterflies on stomach!
ALRIGHT, shit is about to get good! I arrived at Tower Records Shibuya, a mega store containing everything you can imagine related to vinyl, music, DJ, and lots of good vibes! Took lots of photos inside the store,
I was stoked with these shots, I knew they would turn out excellent. Coincidently, when I left the store, guess who was downstairs giving me a second change? Yeah, the Tail Fin again, at this time, posing at a different angle, so I could capture it once again!
Then, I took this photo below in this very precise location, and it was time to head back to the hotel. I’ll write later on how I am capturing GPS location for my analog shots, which is something very cool to have when traveling.
This shot was taken at 5:19PM, and we were all extremely tired from the jetlag, it was just our 4th day in there, and we usually adjust 2 hours per day.
Time for an early sleep, because in the next day we would wake up super early to get the Shinkansen (bullet train) to KYOTO!
See you in the other side of the world!
I wouldn’t fancy seeing your film photography bill 😮💨 Lovely images
Those car photos are bangers even with the bus in the one image. So much great stuff coming out of these posts!
